The purpose of the Association is to promote and carry out any
action and activity in favor of Camigliano,
namely:
• enhancement of Camigliano with its history, its culture and its traditions;
• research and development of initiatives and activities that contribute to the increase of population, the reduction of depopulation, improving the living conditions of residents;
• care environment and territory, and the enhancement of the quality of rural life in general;
• the promotion of cultural, recreational, sporting, welfare such as to allow both the cultural education of members in need of assistance themselves.
To achieve the above objects, the Association aims to: organize, sponsor, promote and participate in social, cultural, artistic, recreational, sports, promoting the creation and manage exhibitions, studies, books and any other activity for the diffusion of Camigliano and its history, for the enhancement of the countryside; procure and provide, directly or indirectly, to the facilities and associated facilities, promote and manage the implementation of social tourism initiatives, events, shows, clubs, facilities and structures; contact any person or public body or private entity may be useful also indirectly facilitate the implementation of its goals, promote and encourage relationships and exchange of information with associations, organizations and groups that act with similar and related purposes. Our Association is made up of about one hundred members, some of them live in the country of Camigliano, others gravitate around it motivated by a spirit of volunteerism is not indifferent.
The coordination and organization of social activities are carried out by the Executive Council, composed of fifteen persons of age, elected by the members and renewed every three years.
The President, a member of the Board, is the legal representative of the Association, and the Council have allocated the posts of vice-president, secretary, treasurer, treasurer, storekeeper, in charge of the work. Most members are blood donors, volunteers are some of the Brotherhood of Misericordia di Montalcino, the Association itself grants funds to various charities that we are in the area, and were sent contributions during various disasters. The Association is registered with the Municipal Association of Montalcino.
The Association has made every year since the beginning numerous social, cultural and recreational activities, including the restructuring and transformation of the former headquarters of the country in schools, grants for the renovation of the country, construction of sports facilities and recreational, photographic exhibitions and painting, a book on the history of the castle of Camigliano, live music concerts, shows and competitions of archery in collaboration with the archers of Montalcino, etc..
The Association is constantly mediate between the villagers and the town of Montalcino to the needs of the community, and in this sense has always played a vital role in determining who has also helped to curb the phenomenon typical of abandonment villages of the country, and even favored the birth of new families residing in the country.
