STRUCTURE DESCRIPTION
This residence is situated in the back part of an old palace, one of the most important buildings in Montalcino of its time. Our house was in the stores. Originally, the building functioned as a mill for the town. It was then turned into a brick factory, topped with a towering chimney of which only the base remains today.From the garden, you can see the tower of the Piazza del Popolo in Montalcino as well as the Val d’Orcia as far as the eye can see. There is the sensation of being in the town while being immersed in the Tuscan countryside at the same time. It was here that we had the idea to restore the building and to make our home and the Porta Castellana B&B.
